Destination of the Day: Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, Louisville, KY

Destination 4 in the series "Winter Blahs"

Both Louisville residents and visitors are lucky to have this reborn section of West Main Street.  Within just a few blocks are nine medium-sized museums or attractions for the CTer's enjoyment and you cannot go wrong with any of them.  The Louisville Slugger Museum though is a must-visit.  The complex includes a small museum, a rotating exhibit space (19 March-14 August: Norman Rockwell: Sports), and the factory.  Definitely take the factory tour.  The nearby Frazier Museum offers the traditional exhibits and interpretations including sword fights, "The Execution of Anne Boleyn", and "Agincourt Archer".  Many hotels are located just east of the area.
