Destination of the Day: Cathedral of Saint Paul, Saint Paul, MN

Destination 5 in the series "...see all the people"

While all of the churches and cathedrals in this series are visit worthy, none match the draw of the Cathedral of Saint Paul. Within easy walking distance of downtown Saint Paul (and the soon-to-open light
rail expansion linking Saint Paul to Minneapolis) from its steps you can enjoy an amazing view of downtown and the Minnesota Capitol. Then enter and be overwhelmed by the sanctuary. The web site includes an entire section on the cathedral with dozens of photos, details on the building's architecture, and an informative virtual tour. A formal tour is offered on most weekdays at 1:00 pm. Definitely put this on the to-visit list!
