Destination of the Day: Lexington History Center, Lexington, KY

Destination 2 in the series "Public Offering"

With the museum only open three days a week (Friday-Sunday, although the three days are counted as four!) it will take some planning to visit the four museums housed in the one complex-Lexington History Museum, Lexington Public Safety Museum, Kentucky Pharmacy Museum, and the Issac Scott Hathaway Museum.  Current history museum exhibits include 'Athens of the West', 'In Black and White', and 'Antique Typewriters'.  Located downtown in the old courthouse it is pretty easy to find with plenty of inexpensive parking in the area.  In addition to the LHC, the area also has the Kentucky Horse Park (FANTASTIC IF YOU ENJOY HORSES), Ashland: The Henry Clay Estate, and the Headley-Whitney Museum.

Friday, Sunday: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
