Destination of the Day: Windsor's Community Museum, Windsor, ON

Destination 4 in the series "Public Offering"

For a city of 216,473 and a rich past, one would think civic leaders would work with the community and develop and support a much more impressive public museum.  The entire exhibit space is no larger than maybe a combined family and living rooms.  The volunteers and staff though have done their best with the space and provide a visitor a good overview of Windsor's history.  Since a tour will take about 20 minutes, tops, plan a side trip to the nearby Art Gallery of Windsor.

  1. What an interesting blog, introduced by a thought-provoking photo. The unusual wall painting of the dwellings is also a strangely modern interpretation. Something like this hieroglyphic view of a park by Swiss painter Paul Klee,
The image can be seen at who can supply you with a canvas print of it.
