Destination of the Day: Washington Park Botanical Garden, Springfield, IL

Destination 1 in the series "What do May flowers bring?"

This 20 acre jewel of a park sits west of downtown and just a little too far to walk.  The park also includes the Conservatory (which I think the listed hours are for), a 50 foot diameter glass dome with 150 species of plants.  Great way to conclude a fun day visiting the many Lincoln historic sites around Springfield.

Hours:
Monday - Friday: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Saturday - Sunday: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
