Series of the Week: "What do May flowers bring?"

After what feels like non-stop rain for the last few weeks, the sun is out and the days are slowly warming up.  Time to open the windows and begin tackling the flowerbeds and balcony boxes.  The Great Lakes and Upper South regions' botanical gardens provide some incredible ideas for both the professional, hardcore landscaper and those who want to spruce up and add some color to the lawn or outdoor space.  Many offer weekend courses and tours conducted professionals who can provide guidance that cannot be found elsewhere.  Plus, what a great excuse to get outside, get some exercise, and shake off the winter blues!

If you would like to contribute to this series contact me at rmaihoferii@gmail.com. Include your name, the establishment, a short description, and a photo if you have one.
