Destination of the Week: Quad Cities, IA

Destination of the Week: Quad Cities, IA

Along the Mississippi River sits a collection of four cities (Rock Island & Moline, IL; Davenport & Bettendorf, IA) that compliment each other nearly perfectly.  Instead of trying to compete for tourism dollars and attractions, each city offers a unique and (nearly) unduplicated set of attractions that will keep a visitor easily busy for a very full weekend.   A car-less traveler though may find the area a bit more difficult since many of the attractions are spread out over a wide area and travel over the river is a bit of a challenge.   Downtown hotels are a bit more difficult to book so be prepared.
