With a broad collection, including exhibits on Asia, Ancient Egypt, the Mississippi River ecosystem, and region history, a person should be able to find at least one area that will keep him/her busy for a few hours. The Black Earth/Big River and River, Prairie, and People exhibit halls are well done. One small challenge is that the physical museum is not particularly well laid-out, with some exhibit areas at the end of long halls, down odd stairs, etc. The National Geographic Giant Screen Theatre offers both science and popular films.
