Destination of the Week: LaSalle County, IL-Utica

Destination of the Week: LaSalle County, IL-Utica

This small, 1,352 person, town is a nice little surprise.  Its downtown includes wineries, history centers, and other tourist-friendly establishments.  Scars can still be seen from a devastating 2004 tornado, but for the most part the town has recovered and improved.  Chain hotels are non-exist so the best choices are the few independent hotels located near downtown, the nearby Grizzly Jacks resort, or Starved Rock State Park resort.
