Destination of the Week: Chicago-LaPorte County, IN

Destination of the Week: Chicago-LaPorte County, IN

Summary:
I do not envy the hardworking tourism officials of Chicago’s Indiana suburbs (Lake County, Porter County, LaPorte County).  In the shadow of one of the world’s great cities, too many people consider the towns and villages along the way as only rest stops and the lands of outlet malls and casinos.   Take the gamble and venture off the tollways and expressways and explore this great little corner of metro Chicago. Some of the attractions awaiting you include breweries, candy factories, tiny liberal arts colleges, and even a national park!

Go if you like:
-Beaches
-Casinos
-Outlet mall shopping
