Located just a short walk from an amazing Lake Michigan beach is this little nice, but tired, zoo. Built in 1928, it will still entertain but do not expect cutting edge exhibits, and sometimes, even animals. It though is a perfect size and set up for groups with small children needing some time away from the beach or needing some running time. At the highest point in the zoo is a stone tower that begs to be climbed. For those who do, the view of Michigan City’s lakefront, downtown, casino, and power plant will be worth it!
