Destination of the Week: Grand Rapids, MI- Van Andel Museum Center of the Grand Rapids Public Museum

Destination of the Week: Grand Rapids, MI- Van Andel Museum Center of the Grand Rapids Public Museum

Located right on (and in some places, over) the Grand River, the Van Andel Museum Center of the Grand Rapids Public Museum gives a first time visitor a fantastic view of downtown through its three story glass wall.  Packed in this impressive museum is a broad collection of artifacts spanning the history of the region, natural history, space, and special exhibits.  The carousel is a hit with kids (okay, and adults) while adults will find the professional exhibits enlightening.  Do not miss the top floor’s gallery on the Anishinabek,
