Since none of this week’s Kalamazoo attractions require a major time commitment, many can be done in an hour or so, a well-organized GLCTer can hit most of them in a day or so. A great starting point is the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Located downtown and near the Amtrak station, the KVM will give a traveler a nice overview of the city, its neighborhoods, and rich history. The space and science exhibits are pretty small, but the ‘Made in Kalamazoo’ area will more than make up for the disappointing first floor. The third floor includes the special exhibit gallery.
