Shipshewana is the big draw for most people visiting the region. Even then, the entire town is not much more than a few blocks square. During the summer during auction and flea market season though the city swells to many times its size. Many of the area’s attractions are located within a mile of city center, making it perfect if a GLCTer wants to just park the car and walk.
A special note-PLEASE be respectful of the Amish and Mennonites in the area. Photo taking of Amish is normally highly discouraged. At night, be very watchful of slow moving horse-drawn wagons.
