Destination of the Week: Saugatuck, Douglas & Fennville Area, MI-Saugatuck

Destination of the Week: Saugatuck, Douglas & Fennville Area, MI-Saugatuck

If you cannot relax in Saugatuck, there may be an issue.  Located between ever-moving dunes, the town has a number of great small restaurants, stores, and bars.  Two theaters, one within walking distance of downtown, provide a nice intermission with high-quality productions of light plays.  Daytime activities also include wine tasting, boat cruises, and dune rides.  Most hotels are locally owned and are a bit dated.  But really, how long is one expecting to hang out at a hotel?  If the comfort of a chain hotel is more to your liking, check out Holland which is only a few miles away.
