Destination of the Week: Chicago-Downtown (South Loop), IL-Field Museum of Natural History

The Field Museum is an all day experience.  With changing blockbuster shows (Vikings!), a massive First Nations collection, a dinosaur gallery like no other, and a bird collection that begs to be explored, a GLCTer will need to plan carefully and keep a decent pace to see everything.  A 3D theatre offers a little break from walking, usually offering about three or four different films.  Field offers not just one, but two, on-site restaurants.  If the one on the main floor is packed, venture to the one located in a corner of the ground floor.  Also, a little used entrance on the east side helps if there are long lines at the main entrances.
