Destination of the Week: Chicago-Downtown (Loop), IL

Destination of the Week: Chicago-Downtown (Loop), IL

Summary:
Chicago’s traditional downtown is booming with new attractions, hotels, restaurants, and shopping.  Major companies which decades ago left the city entirely are moving back as workers demand better commutes and walkable communities.  State Street is thriving with ‘discount’ outlets, cutting-edge retailers, and Macy’s Midwest flagship store.  Still a little quiet in the evening, the city and entertainment business leaders have been busy opening new theatres and other late night entertainment venues.  It would be very easy to spend an entire extended weekend and never leave this one section of downtown.
