Destination of the Week: Chicago-Far North Side Lakefront Communities, IL-Leather Archives & Museum in Rogers Park

Destination of the Week: Chicago-Far North Side Lakefront Communities, IL-Leather Archives & Museum in Rogers Park

This modest, but very unique, museum is NOT for the kids (no one under 18 is permitted) or those skittish about sex and the BDSM arts.  The first floor includes artwork saved from now-shuttered leather bars from around the country, a vest room, and well-stocked library.  The ground floor includes revolving exhibits on various aspects of BDSM culture.  Looking for that one-of-kind gift?  Check out the gift shop and have some fun.

From downtown, take the CTA El’s Red Line to Loyola Station.  The site is located about 0.6 miles away.
