Great Lakes and Upper South in the News: "Michigan tulip festival and other travel ideas for spring" from Chicago Tribune

Here are some of the more interesting events, deals, websites and other travel tidbits that have come across our desk recently:

 •Artists in Racine and Kenosha, Wis., will be opening their studios to the public for the annual Get Behind the Arts event. More than 80 artists will be participating 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 29 in Racine and the following day in Kenosha. There will also be a free preview party April 28. http://tinyurl.com/lnntg5q 

•Traverse City Uncorked is a new monthlong series of wine-related events during the month of May throughout the Traverse City, Mich., area.
